An independent blog about housing finance in Mexico
Necrothemx is a small editorial project born in Mexico City in 2021. We write about something that affects every Mexican household: how to plan, finance and afford a home without falling into debt traps.
What we publish
Practical guides on mortgages, INFONAVIT, FOVISSSTE, savings strategies, home insurance, regional property prices and tools such as our home-budget calculator. We do not republish bank press releases.
What we do not do
We are not a financial institution. We do not grant loans, we do not request bank details, we do not sell user data and we do not receive commissions from financial entities. Our income comes exclusively from educational advertising compliant with Google policies.
Our editorial method
Each article is reviewed by two independent readers before publication. We update our figures every six months using official sources: INEGI, Banxico, CONDUSEF and the Federal Mortgage Society (SHF).
Editorial values
- Independence from banks and brokers
- Plain Spanish, no financial jargon
- Realistic numbers for Mexican households
- Privacy first: we minimise data collection
